Cybersecurity Lighting Laboratory Internship

Description of the team offering the internship

The internship offers the opportunity to join a team focused on cybersecurity, participating in cutting-edge projects with a strong innovative component. The selected candidate will collaborate and receive training in the design, development, and evaluation of advanced solutions that seek to respond to current and future challenges in the protection of systems, critical infrastructure, and sensitive data. Some projects will also apply artificial intelligence techniques to enhance threat detection and prevention.

What will you learn during your internship with us?

The person who joins our team will learn the fundamentals and advanced techniques of cybersecurity in a practical way, gaining experience in both threat analysis and the development of innovative solutions. They will participate in applied research, design and testing of new tools, as well as in the evaluation of systems and processes to improve their protection. They will also collaborate on projects that integrate artificial intelligence and offensive and defensive security methodologies, allowing them to develop a comprehensive and up-to-date view of the sector. All of this will contribute to their training, providing them with solid technical knowledge, teamwork skills, and real experience in projects with a direct impact on digital security.

Training and skills you will need to develop this internship

The ideal candidate for this scholarship should have a background in computer science, telecommunications, or related fields, with a demonstrated interest in cybersecurity and technological innovation. In terms of hard skills, knowledge of operating systems (Linux/Windows), networks, programming fundamentals (Python, C/C++, or similar), and familiarity with security tools such as Wireshark, Metasploit, or Burp Suite will be valued. An understanding of artificial intelligence concepts applied to security will be a plus. An intermediate-advanced level of English is desirable, as much of the documentation and technical resources are in this language.
In terms of soft skills, we are looking for people with initiative, curiosity, learning ability, and teamwork skills. Creativity in proposing new ideas, attention to detail, and clear communication will be essential to integrate and add value in a dynamic and challenging environment.
