From Open Gateway, Telefónica transforms the network to drive a new generation of digital services and from where we open our telco capabilities through global and standardized APIs, to facilitate their integration in the development of new solutions.

Open Gateway is a GSMA-led telco initiative that transforms telecommunications networks into developer-ready platforms, unlocking the full power of the network.

These capabilities are exposed through global, standardized APIs under the framework of CAMERA, the open source project led by the Linux Foundation and TM Forum in collaboration with the GSMA.

This Second Edition of OGW Academy UFV, welcomes students of Cybersecurity Management Degree of the Francisco de Vitoria University (academic year 2025_2026), to connect their academic training with the most ambitious global project currently being developed within the Telco ecosystem.

Open Gateway Academy brings the reality of the company closer to the academic program of future professionals, connecting with professional environments that will be useful for their future incorporation into the labor market.

The students who participate together with the University's teaching team incorporate the use of Telefónica's APIs in their academic plan to develop their training.

For three months, the students, formed in teams, learn, text and test the Open Gateway environments, experimenting, devising and developing innovative proposals that offer answers to specific needs.

The final presentation of the ‘open gateway betatesters’ teams takes place in front of Telefónica's jury of experts who evaluate and offer feedback with special recognitions to the most outstanding proposals.
