Thematic Context

The challenge is designed for students of Bachelor's or Master's degrees in Computer Engineering.

Introduction

This challenge proposed by the Movistar+ team, in relation to the Videoteca M+ website.
We are talking about Telefónica's audiovisual entertainment platform and among its contents, its renowned Original Production stands out, along with premiere movies, all sports, the most attractive series or the most prestigious documentaries.

We developed to implement on the Videoteca M+ website, the use in educational centers related to the audiovisual media, subtitles for people with hearing impairment, audio description and sign language through artificial intelligence.

Challenge posed

Movistar+ currently incorporates these accessibilities in our content: subtitles for the hearing impaired, audio description and sign language, but only in the case of optional subtitles, Artificial Intelligence is used in a very small percentage, although we are working on it.

Our goal is to be able to implement some of these accessibility options with automatisms and make the Videoteca M+ website accessible to students with some kind of visual or hearing impairment.
