Subject Area

The TFG/TFM will be conducted in ENGLISH.

Project aimed at talented students who want to develop their TFG/TFM in an industrial environment. Ideally, the candidate should have some experience/knowledge in both data science (e.g. ML, Deep Learning) and mobile networks.

Introduction

Mobile networks are continuously evolving with each new generation, driven by the emergence of groundbreaking applications and communication paradigms. In this context, in the coming years networks will face hard challenges to meet the demands of future applications, such as the eagerly expected metaverse. In this (r)evolution, Deep Learning is among the most promising techniques for achieving unprecedented levels of connectivity and user experience that can meet such demands. This project is research-oriented, and is intended for candidates who dare to explore the boundaries of knowledge in the fields of Deep Learning and Mobile Networks.

Challenge raised

In this project, we will have the opportunity to explore real-world problems around 5G mobile networks and beyond. The project will focus on using advanced Deep Learning techniques to solve difficult open challenges in networks, such as optimizing mobility management, planning future mobile networks, or creating state-of-the-art network automation tools to ease the day-to-day operations of network engineers around the world.
