Who is this challenge aimed at?

Telecommunication Engineering profiles with general/basic knowledge of Open Gateway

Intro

Open Gateway is a GSMA-led initiative that seeks to open up telecom operators' network capabilities in an interoperable, programmable and intuitive way, through standardised APIs.

As the performance of these APIs, especially in terms of latency, is critical for many use cases such as digital banking or identity verification.

Challenge Proposed

The TFG/TFM being developed aims to design and implement an automated system for end-to-end (E2E) latency measurement in Open Gateway APIs.

Objectives

  • Design of a scalable and reusable tool for continuous performance evaluation of Open Gateway APIs.
  • It should be prepared to easily adapt to new APIs, authentication methods or regions, and allow sharing performance results in a structured way with technical and commercial teams, serving as a basis for validating and evolving the digital services that are built on top of these APIs.
