Challenge presented for UX students, product designers, accessibility students, who are thinking about this topic for the development of their TFG/TFM.
Haptic technology has become a powerful ally for improving accessibility in digital and physical environments.
How can we leverage haptic technology to create more inclusive and accessible experiences for people with visual, hearing or neurodivergent disabilities?
Research, conceptualise and prototype a solution using haptic technology to improve the accessibility of a specific experience in an interpersonal communication context. The solution must be functional, user-centred and based on universal design principles.
We propose the following key aspects to explore:
In-depth understanding of the needs of users with disabilities.
Exploration of the state of the art in haptic technology and its accessible applications.
Multisensory interaction design.
User experience evaluation from an inclusive perspective.
Application in a telco environment.
