The challenge consists of 2 parts:
1.- Create a tool that allows to create a dataset from collecting data from all the tests performed in the lab and also from events in production with real traffic.
2.- Create an ML calculator that allows to extrapolate the theoretical capacities of the nodes with load profiles that have not been previously tested in the lab.
As customer behaviour, forecasts, load profiles can vary from one season to another, the tests are constantly repeated to test multiple combinations and thus obtain new capacities.
A CDN (Content Delivery Network) is a geographically distributed multi-service system, which allows for the mass delivery of content in an optimal way to any user, while being fully scalable by continuously deploying new cache elements if necessary. This allows content to be delivered in a close proximity, and so response times and delivery efficiency is maximised.
The objectives of the challenge are:
- Develop a tool to create a dataset of both laboratory and production data.
- Development of a capacity estimation tool, by means of Machine Learning. The clean dataset obtained from the previous point will be used as training.
